Collection: Matching Diamond Pairs

Matched diamond pairs are two natural diamonds selected together for identical shape, carat weight, colour, clarity and proportions. Because both stones must align on every characteristic, matched pairs are considerably harder to source than single diamonds — and considerably more valuable in finished jewellery, where any difference between the two is immediately visible.

Diamond Imports holds matched pairs across every popular shape, from round brilliant and princess through to specialist cuts like trapezoid, kite and half moon used as side stones. Every pair is 100% natural, ethically sourced and matched in-house by Daniel, a GIA-trained gemologist, with most diamonds independently certified by GIA and others by DCLA or HRD.

What Matched Pairs Are Used For

Diamond Stud Earrings

The most common use. Two stones of identical size and quality, so neither ear draws the eye more than the other.

Side Stones

Tapered baguettes, trapezoids, half moons, kites and trilliants flanking a centre diamond in an engagement ring.

Three Stone Rings

Matched pairs either side of a larger centre stone — past, present and future.

Drop Earrings & Pendants

Where symmetry between two visible stones matters to the finished design.

Buying Matched Pairs in Australia

Matched pairs are priced per pair, not per stone, and every pair we hold is in Sydney and available to view by appointment. Daniel selects and matches each pair personally — a certificate confirms the grades, but only a trained eye confirms two diamonds genuinely look alike face-up. We ship fully insured Australia-wide, with signature and photo identification required on delivery.
