About Diamond Imports

Where are you located?

Diamond Imports is located in Sydney CBD. We operate by appointment only — please book an appointment to arrange a time to visit. Our address is provided when you book.

Can I visit without an appointment?

We operate by appointment only. This ensures Daniel has dedicated time for each client — you won't be rushed, and the experience will be entirely focused on you and what you're looking for. Appointments can be arranged quickly, often the same day or next day.

Who will I be meeting with?

You will meet directly with Daniel, the owner and diamond specialist. You will not be handed off to a salesperson or assistant. Every appointment is with Daniel personally.

How long does an appointment take?

It depends entirely on what you need. Some appointments are 20 minutes. Some are three hours. Daniel has no agenda other than helping you find the right diamond. Take as long as you need.

Diamonds & Certificates

Do all your diamonds come with certificates?

Yes. Every diamond we sell is independently certified by GIA, DCLA, or HRD — the world's most respected gemological laboratories. We do not sell uncertified diamonds. Learn more in our guide to diamond certificates.

Do you sell lab-grown diamonds?

No. Diamond Imports sells only natural, earth-mined diamonds. We believe strongly in the value and integrity of natural diamonds. If you'd like to understand the difference, read our Natural vs Lab-Grown guide.

Can I see the diamond before I buy?

Absolutely — and we strongly encourage it. Every diamond we offer can be viewed in person at your appointment in our Sydney CBD office. We do not sell from anonymous virtual inventories — you'll see and compare the actual stones, with Daniel's guidance, before you decide.

What diamond shapes do you carry?

We carry all major shapes including round brilliant, oval, cushion, emerald, asscher, pear, princess, marquise, and radiant. Our range changes regularly as new stones arrive. Not sure which shape suits? See our Diamond Shapes guide, or contact us and Daniel will source something specific for you.

Can you source a specific diamond if I don't see it on your website?

Yes. Daniel has extensive relationships with diamond dealers and suppliers in Australia and internationally. If you have specific requirements — a particular carat weight, shape, colour, or clarity — he can source it for you. Contact us to discuss.

Rings & Custom Design

Do you make custom engagement rings?

Yes — every ring we make is custom. We don't sell off-the-shelf rings. You choose your diamond, discuss your design with Daniel, and our master jewellers handcraft the ring to your specifications. How long does it take to make a ring?

Typically 2-4 weeks depending on the complexity of the design. For urgent requests — such as a proposal with a specific date — please let Daniel know and he will do everything possible to meet your deadline. Some simpler settings can be completed within a week.

Can I bring in my own design or a photo of a ring I love?

Absolutely. Bring in photos, sketches, Pinterest boards — anything that conveys what you're imagining. Daniel and our jewellers can work from almost any reference to create your vision.

Can you resize my ring?

Yes. We offer ring resizing services. Contact us to arrange this.

Can you remodel or upgrade an existing ring?

Yes — this is something we do regularly. Whether you want to upgrade your centre diamond, update the setting style, or completely remodel a ring, Daniel and our jewellers can help. Pricing & Payment

How do you price your diamonds?

Our diamond prices reflect the wholesale nature of our business — you're buying direct from the specialist, without retail mark-ups, shopfront overheads, or commissioned sales staff. You will consistently find our prices competitive with or better than online retailers, with the added benefit of seeing the stone in person.

How do I pay?

We accept payment by direct bank transfer (EFT) and BPAY. We do not accept credit cards. Full payment is required before a ring is made or a loose diamond is released. For bespoke pieces, a deposit may be taken at the time of order with the balance due on completion.

Do you offer payment plans?

Please contact us to discuss your specific situation. Daniel is always willing to have a conversation about what works for you.

After Your Purchase

Should I insure my diamond ring?

Yes — absolutely. We strongly recommend insuring any significant diamond purchase. Your diamond certificate is the key document for insurance purposes. Many home and contents policies can cover jewellery — speak to your insurer about adding a specific item to your policy.

How do I care for my diamond ring?
