How to Book an Appointment with Diamond Imports
Every consultation at Diamond Imports is personal, unhurried, and completely obligation-free. Whether you know exactly what you want or you're just beginning to explore, we'll guide you through the process at your own pace.
When you contact us, you speak directly with Daniel — not a salesperson. Just honest expertise, and as much time as you need.
How to Get in Touch
Most of our clients start with a phone call. We're happy to answer initial questions before you commit to a visit, and for customers outside Sydney, many consultations take place entirely over the phone — with diamond specifications, certification links, photography, and video shared directly with you.
- Phone: (02) 9251 4444
- Location: Sydney CBD
Appointments are available Monday to Friday. We recommend getting in touch a few days in advance to find a time that suits you, though we'll always do our best to accommodate.
What Are You Looking For?
To help us prepare for your consultation, it's useful to have a sense of what you have in mind. You don't need to have all the answers — that's what we're here for — but the more you can share upfront, the more focused and valuable your appointment will be.
A Loose Diamond
You're looking for a diamond to set into a ring, pendant, or other piece — either now or in the future. Think about whether you have a shape preference (round, oval, cushion, emerald, pear, princess, etc.), and whether you'd like GIA, DCLA, or HRD certification. With us, every diamond is independently certified — always. Browse diamonds →
An Engagement Ring
One of the most meaningful purchases you'll ever make. Come prepared to discuss the style your partner wears — classic or contemporary, simple or detailed, yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, or platinum. If you know their ring size, bring it. If not, we can help you work it out. Not sure where to start? Browse engagement rings →
A Coloured Gemstone
Sapphires, rubies, emeralds, and other precious stones — loose or set. Let us know if you have a colour or type in mind, or whether you're open to exploring what's available. Daniel selects coloured gemstones with the same rigour he applies to diamonds — individually chosen, never from a catalogue. Explore coloured gemstones →
Diamond Jewellery
Earrings, pendants, bracelets, or a special piece for a particular occasion. Whether you have something specific in mind or want to see what's available, we'll walk you through the options. Browse jewellery →
A Custom or Bespoke Piece
You have an idea — or an image — and you want it made. Bring any inspiration you have: photos, sketches, or a description. We'll discuss what's achievable, the materials involved, and realistic timelines and costs. Explore custom design →
A Jewellery Remake or Redesign
You have existing jewellery — perhaps inherited or no longer worn — and you'd like to transform it into something new. Bring the pieces with you so Daniel can assess what's possible and give you an honest appraisal. Explore remakes & redesigns →
A Wedding Band or Anniversary Ring
Whether it's a simple wedding band to complement an existing ring, an eternity ring, or an anniversary piece, let us know what you're envisioning and we'll go from there. Browse wedding & eternity rings →
Things to Think About Before Your Appointment
You don't need to arrive with answers to all of these — but giving them some thought in advance will help us make the most of your time together:
- Budget — A rough range helps us show you the best options within your comfort zone. There's no judgement and no pressure.
- Occasion — Is this for an engagement, a milestone birthday, an anniversary, or something else? Knowing the occasion helps us understand what matters most.
- Timeline — Do you need the piece by a specific date? Custom work and remakes take time, so the earlier you come to us, the better.
- Style preferences — Modern or classic? Understated or bold? If you've saved images or have a Pinterest board, bring it — it tells us more than words often can.
- Metal preference — Yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, or platinum each have different looks, price points, and maintenance requirements.
- Ring size — If you're buying for someone else, any clue helps. A ring from their jewellery box, a traced outline, or a guess is always a starting point.
- Diamond shape — Round brilliant diamonds offer maximum sparkle; fancy shapes (oval, pear, cushion, emerald, marquise) offer a more distinctive look. Not sure? We'll show you both. See all diamond shapes →
What to Expect
There's no fixed script and no time pressure. Appointments run as long as they need to. You're welcome to ask every question you have, compare as many diamonds as you like, and take all the time you need to feel confident in your decision.
Nothing is sold by pressure here. Daniel's approach has always been to educate first — so that whatever you decide, you decide with clarity.
In Daniel's Words
"I never want someone to walk out of here feeling rushed or uncertain. Take as long as you need. Look at as many stones as you want. Ask every question you have. That's what the appointment is for." — Daniel, Diamond Imports
